So after adding a couple of new T-Shirts to my store last week (this one and this one) I had the urge for a tidy up and spring clean on the website. There’s been a few things I’ve wanted to do on the website, mainly to the product pages.
Away from the design I’ve dropped the prices of the T-Shirts to £15, this was after reading an interesting article on how smaller / shorter prices look less (in value) to ones with more characters. Obviously £15 is less than £15.99, but I’m hoping £15 is also less than £15.00 - which is what it would have been previously.
On the actual product pages I’ve switched the photos and product descriptions around - I wanted the price and description to be the first thing people look at, rather than the images - which can’t really be missed, they’re so big.
Next up and following on from a really interesting talk from Ben Locker at a recent Colchester Digital meet up, I’m going to be working on the product descriptions. It’s an area I’ve really struggled with - not only with the words, but also finding the character I want them to be written in, after a few great tips from Ben and reading a number of articles - I think I’m ready to tackle the descriptions!
